Made by hand in Lincolnshire, England since 1927. What began as a scrap-leather pig footstool for Liberty of London became, under Yugoslav émigré Dimitri Omersa, a full menagerie of leather animals crafted for Liberty and Abercrombie & Fitch alike. Josie and Caroline Dale now carry the workshop forward as respectful custodians of Mr. Omersa's original vision. Each animal is cut from full-grain cowhide by a small team of artisans — hides left unbuffed and unsanded, their scars and markings kept rather than hidden, so no two animals are ever quite alike. Nearly a century on, they remain what they always were: footstools with character, built to be sat on, tripped over, and handed down.
