This signature classical design is pared back and stylish, designed purposely to elevate every mealtime into something special.  Hand thrown in porcelain at the John Julian workshop in Wiltshire, UK, the Classical Cake Stand takes around a month to complete.  The platform is hand thrown on the potters wheel and the top is then glazed.  The elegant and sculptural base is also thrown on the wheel by one of our skilled potters.  Each piece is fired separately and then the Cake Stand is fired together as a whole.  As each piece is handmade there will sometimes be some slight variation in colour and size, but we see this as part of their individual character and charm.

John Julian, a pottery studio and workshop based in rural Wiltshire, was established by sculptor Julian Sainsbury with a focus on small-batch production of the highest quality luxury tableware, serveware and kitchenware.
